Organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), Charterhouse has lifted the ban on dancehall heavyweights Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.
In an official release today Friday, February 12, 2020, it was stated that the decision to lift the ban was taken at the 22nd inaugural meeting of the board on January 28, 2021.
A portion of the statement which was signed by the chairman of the board stated that the board agreed to admit the two back to the scheme and were hopeful that the altercation which brought the scheme into disrepute in 2019 was not going to repeat itself.
However, nominations for this year’s edition ends February 13.
