Delta to fly to top U.S. ski destinations from LAX, MSP and more

Starting Dec. 21, 2024, Delta will fly its largest ever domestic ski schedule, including more flights from Los Angeles than ever before, alongside robust service to top U.S. ski destinations from MSP, ATL, and SLC.

Customers already dreaming of hitting the slopes this winter will find ample options on Delta, as the airline plans its most expansive winter ski schedule yet, boosting seat capacity by nearly 10% over 2023.

The winter lineup features a robust schedule out of Los Angeles, where Delta will launch daily nonstop service to Jackson Hole (JAC) and new Saturday service to Sun Valley, Idaho (SUN). Meanwhile, customers in Minneapolis, Atlanta, and Salt Lake City will also benefit from additional service to iconic ski destinations throughout the West.

“Delta is creating essential connections from our growing hub and state-of-the-art facilities in Los Angeles and across the U.S. to bring premier ski resorts within easy reach this winter,” said Joe Esposito, Delta’s Senior Vice President of Network Planning. “With our latest winter schedule, customers have more choices than ever, with up to 190 weekly flights to places our customers want to fly to most, paired with the premium services and amenities our customers always enjoy.”

From Los Angeles (LAX): The Gateway to Snow-Capped Peaks
Delta’s ski schedule out of LAX this winter will boast a 25% increase in seat capacity. In addition to offering daily flights to Jackson Hole and year-round Aspen service, Delta is also bringing back daily flights to Bozeman (BZN) and Vail (EGE) and new Saturday service to the stunning Sun Valley.

No matter the destination, Delta’s state-of-the-art Sky Way at LAX ensures a seamless journey from start to finish. Terminal 3, a 1.2-million-square-foot, 27-gate complex, redefines travel convenience with a centralized check-in lobby, expanded security checkpoint, and an award-winning Delta Sky Club. Delta One customers benefit from an exclusive check-in area, private TSA screening lane, and direct access to the Delta Sky Club. Additionally, eligible customers can use Delta Digital ID at LAX for hands-free bag check and security.

From Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP): More Winter Wonders

Delta is also doubling down on winter fun for MSP travelers. This season, the airline resumes service to Steamboat Springs, Colorado (HDN) and Jackson Hole, both of which will operate daily during the holiday period, expanding from Saturday-only service in 2023. And with year-round flights to Bozeman (BZN), customers can bask in the beauty of this mountain retreat any time of year.

Delta Sky Club customers traveling through MSP can enjoy time relaxing and recharging at the airline’s third Club which opened its doors in spring 2023. This added more than 21,000 square feet of premium space to Delta’s lounge portfolio, making it by far the largest at Delta’s Minneapolis hub.

From Atlanta (ATL) and Salt Lake City (SLC)

From Delta’s largest hub, ATL, customers can now look forward to more opportunities to explore Bozeman, as the airline boosts service with a second daily frequency.

Delta already offers daily flights from Atlanta to a roster of other snowy paradises this winter: Aspen, Vail, Steamboat Springs, Montrose/Telluride, Colorado (MTJ), and Jackson Hole. With service to ASE also flying year-round, customers’ alpine adventures never have to end.

In SLC, Delta’s daily flights to Bozeman, Jackson Hole, and Sun Valley, are the ticket to some of the most breathtaking slopes in the country.

Delta’s presence at SLC has grown significantly in recent years, highlighted by the launch of a 900,000-square-foot Concourse A in 2020. The concourse now features 19 new restaurants and shops, along with 50 Delta gates with more coming by 2027.

Eligible customers can also kick off their journey with scenic mountain views at the Delta Sky Club in Salt Lake City. This expansive 28,000-square-foot lounge features a covered open-air Sky Deck with stunning vistas of the Wasatch Range, and a 360-degree fireplace at its center.
